Deseret News, 14 June 1973, page C10

An Academy Award-winning Western, a Greek comedy in modern form, a Wild West show, and a comedy are planned by the Human Ensemble Repertory Theater for the summer season.

The current production of "Man In the Meadow," will end Sunday at the Ensemble's Glass Factory theater.

"High Noon," the Oscar-winning movie starring Gary Cooper, will be screened at the theater June 28 through July 1, in a policy of showing occasional films. Admission will be $1. This price will prevail only for this film.

A modern Mafia-godfather adaptation of the Greek comedy "Lysistrata" will be presented July 12 and 13, directed by Ensemble member Randy Milligan. The cast will include Richard Kimsey, Shelley Osterloh, Mary Machala, Juda Youngstrom, David Along, Nolan Palmer, and Steve Ballinger.

Larry Roupe, who has both directed and starred in several local productions, will direct "Whose Happy Now," an off-Broadway comedy July 14 and 15. The comedy takes place in Texas.

"Saloon," an original transformational-type Wild West play, by Ensemble member Juda Youngtrom, will be presented July 19 and 20.

The comedy will include dancing, dialogue and background music. Cast members are Miss Osterloh, Mr. Mong, Miss Machala, and Allen Nevins. Miss Youngtrom will also direct.

Following the presentation of these three productions, they will be presented alternately for the remainder of the summer season, beginning July 21.

The Human Ensemble Repertory Theater plans to present two major productions each quarter during the year. Other productions may be added from time to time.

The Ensemble's children's theater, directed by Barbara McKean, will continue to tour schools.

The theater is located in the Glass Factory, upstairs behind Building No. 2. at Arrow Press Square. Reservations for shows may be made by calling 363-5731.
