Rasband Hall Guestbook

Rasband Hall was owned by an ancestor of mine, James Franklin Rasband. James also managed the Dewey Theater. My grandfather told me that "Uncle Jim" not only ran the Rasband Dance Hall, but also the business that went on upstairs in back, where "the ladies" would work. Children were not allowed behind the building. James Rasbands only daughter, Tena, was very successful in the Paris France, New York City, and Canadian Operas. Unfortunately, due to a heart condition, Tena died at the young age of 25 in 1917. Due to depression from the loss of his daughter, and business deals gone sour, James committed suicide, by rifle, in his room above Rasband Hall in 1922.

I fully appreciate the historical information you have presented on your site. I have learned more about my roots through your work. I only wish....that all the links still worked. Help!
